Animal Reiki sessions can include the caretaker if desired. Caretakers can receive Reiki with their animal, or separately. Some animals desire hands-on treatment. Beaming Reiki in close vicinity or virtually to an animal is also common for many.
Safety for the animal, practitioner, and caretaker is a top priority in every session.
Reiki can reduce stress and build resilience, engaging the parasympathetic nervous system of animals. This is the state for resting and digesting. It promotes feelings of safety and well-being and encourages social interaction.
Research has shown that Reiki can reduce pain and inflammation, and promote relaxation and sleep, assisting with the animal's natural healing process
Reiki cannot change the nature of an animal, but by reducing stress and building resilience, some behavioral issues might be improved.
A Reiki session promotes peace and well-being enhancing connection and reducing stress and fear. Reiki is an invaluable companion for transitions of all kinds, for pets and their people.
Reiki has a grounding effect that makes it easier for animals and their people to be present, fostering connection which is a landmark of how Reiki is known to work with the nervous system.
Before we begin, we'll have a short consultation to discuss your animal's history, behaviors, and any specific areas of concern you might have. This helps in customizing the session to meet your animal's unique needs.
Reiki sessions can be conducted in any setting where your animal feels most comfortable, whether at your home or in a familiar outdoor space. You can also receive Reiki along with your animal. We do our best to ensure the environment is quiet and safe to help your animal (and you) feel relaxed and receptive to receiving Reiki.
During the session, we may use a series of hand positions near or gently on your animal's body, or we may simply beam Reiki from a distance (or virtually), depending on their comfort level. Reiki energy is then channeled to help balance and promote well-being. It's common for animals to experience deep relaxation or even fall asleep during the process. Others may become curious and move around—it's all about what feels right for them.
After the session, it’s possible to notice immediate changes in your animal's energy and demeanor. Some animals show increased energy and playfulness, while others might be more relaxed and sleepy. These responses are natural.
Reiki can be a cumulative process, meaning that continued sessions can enhance and sustain the well-being of your animal. We can discuss and tailor a schedule that suits your animal’s ongoing needs.
Each session typically lasts about 45 minutes. However, the length can vary depending on your animal’s response and needs. Some animals might absorb enough energy in a short period, while others may benefit from a longer session.
$75 (45 min session)
